The Foundation Course
This is the course for teachers* who want to train to teach the complete Tracks
Literacy programme. There are currently 2 routes to obtaining the Foundation Course Certificate.
Route 1
Complete the 3 email modules
Attend the 2 follow-up days (You sign up separately for these.)
Route 2
Attend the 4-day training course
Complete an email module (You sign up separately for this.)
*Teaching assistants can train to teach Tracks Literacy. However, you will need the following:
• The ability and confidence to work with groups of 4-6 pupils
• A high standard of written English and accurate spelling
• Willingness to commit to the required levels of study, and importantly, time to study outside school
• At least twice-weekly, guaranteed access to a group of SEN pupils for 45 minutes per session
• A degree (or in certain circumstances, headteacher's recommendation)
